In August 2022, I loaded up my three sons, our Frenchie, and every penny I had into an RV and drove from Michigan to the Florida Panhandle on what I can only describe as a wing, a prayer, and the right realtor. My loan had fallen through the day of closing, no job lined up yet, no backup plan, so I sold the home I’d lived in for five years and decided I’d figure the rest out on the way down.

We bounced between RV sites in Port St. Joe and Santa Rosa Beach before landing in DeFuniak Springs, where my  Realtor spotted a FSBO listing next door to a home she was showing. The owner was willing to do a land contract. I put down everything I had. We finally had a place to call home, even without a bathtub or a yard for a while, which, if you ask my boys, were the two things they missed most.

I tell people this story because I know what it feels like to be a buyer with everything on the line and very little room for error. I know what it’s like to need a Realtor who shows up, knows the market, and gets creative when the “normal” path isn’t an option.

I specialize in helping first-time buyers and families relocating to the area, especially anyone navigating a tight timeline, a tricky financing situation, or a move that doesn’t look like everyone else’s.
