This week, Southern Choice Properties started their partnership with Food for Thought. Two days this week, we met with them as a team to learn more about their program and to train to be able to volunteer in North Walton County. Wednesday, we were blessed to be able to be a part of packing 510 bags for West DeFuniak Elementary and Maude Saunders Elementary. Thursday, we met at West DeFuniak Elementary to be able to help distribute the bags. There are multiple opportunities to volunteer with this program, you can help pack bags, drive the delivery van, distribute and more. Please come join us in fighting hunger in our youth and help grow our future generations.

Food For Thought started 10 years ago with 6 students and 1 school in their Founders kitchen and grew into the "go to" community organization fighting childhood hunger across 2 counties, 35 schools, serving 3300 students every week of the school year. Now that there are thousands of students relying on these services for a decade, their focus is to ensure that this critical access to food is secured for years to come.
